Aim of the project is to contribute to reinforce colombian civil society in order to promote democratic participation. In 7 municipalities, it was created path of citizen participation and civic training of local social leaders. Within the project are trained 1,137 leaders of community and social organizations of 7 Colombian cities: Magangué, Medellin, San Gil, Florencia, Armenia, Sincelejo and Ibagué. Each area of intervention has worked according to the priorities and needs of its territory. The participatory methodology is applied as regards the construction of participatory spaces, Agendas Cities (AC), and that of educational spaces, Escuelas de Liderazgo Democratico (ELD). To Agendas Cities have participated 405 social and community leaders, both members of the ELD and persons from other local organizations. Contribute to the strengthening, training and promotion of Colombian civil society committed to building a democratic society for the defense of the welfare State of law, to make partner and recognized player in the necessary processes of consultation for the life of the country, from the construction of participatory democracy routes at the local level. Construction of spaces for the active participation of civil society, the Citizen Agenda, in the process of planning and implementation of social policies at the local level of 7 municipalities of Colombia, in line with the provisions of Colombian law, in particular with regard to the areas of public health, education, employment and social security.

The direct beneficiaries of the project were 1,137 social leaders who came from all those associations and organization of civil society working in the public or social.
