The program titled "Brasil Proximo" is a decentralized cooperation initiative agreed in 2004 between five Italian Regions (Umbria, Tuscany, Emilia Romagna, Marche and Liguria) and the Republic of Brazil. The project aims to support the local governments, for the development and the strengthening of public policies mainly in the following four sectors: - Social Policies; - Cooperatives; - Cultural and environmental heritage and tourism - Support to local economic development (SMEs) The program will close in 2015 and the activities have been implemented through the contribution of MAE - DGCS and the 5 Italian Regions involved. read more close
