The project fits within the framework of minors’ rights promotion, fight against poverty, and support to social integration of the most vulnerable persons. The initiative aims to improve the response of institutions and organized civil society to the problem of inequality and social exclusion, marginalization and stigmatization of youth, through the strengthening of social policies at local and regional levels, educational offer, vocational training and the right to reproductive health for young and adolescents who live in conditions of marginalization and risk of crime. read more close

Main outcome

The project aims at contributing to the promotion and defense of youngsters’ fundamental rights, with particular focus to gender equality from childhood to adolescence for the prevention of all forms of discrimination and marginalization, through the inter-institutional strategic collaboration and coherently with minors’ and youngsters’ policies developed at national and regional level.

- The Municipality of Guatemala City (Social Development, Health and Municipal Welfare, Social Communication Directions, and the District Administrations of Zones 1, 5, 6, 7, 13, 18 e 21); - Around 400 single Neighborhood Committees and youngsters’ sub-committees; - Around 200 civil servants and employees of the Municipality; - Around 3.600 youngsters over 14 years old (professional training, citizenship rights); - Around 2000 adolescents (reproductive health programmes); - Around 300 youngsters and adolescents who are reintegrated and remain in the school system; - Around 50 teachers and professors.
