Beneficiaries

670 among teachers and scholastic personnel in 25 institutes situated in East Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Jericho; About 6.800 enrolled students (about 50% girls) and their families, of which 50 per year with grants and 460 per year with scholarships The beneficiary schools are both private and public: The private schools are 13 and include classes from kindergarten up to superior school: TS boys and TS St Joseph girls, Our Lady Pilar and Dimitri in Jerusalem, TS boys and St Joseph girls, De La Salle and Effeta in Bethlehem, TS School and Franciscan School in Jericho; Lifegate Rehabilitation, Hogar Ninos Diose SIRA in Bethlehem are special institutes for children with physical disability and/or learning disorders; The public schools are 12 elementary schools in East Jerusalem, overcrowded and mostly placed in unsuitable buildings, which register grave problems of violence and unease for the students.
