Beneficiaries

The direct beneficiaries are: -10,780 students, of which 50% boys and 50% girls, who attend the 18 schools in the districts of Enjil, Karok and Zenda Jan, in Herat province. Pupils in these marginal areas will benefit from school environments restructured and more welcoming, of basic school supplies and a higher level of teaching skills of directors and teachers; - 6 DoE officials, 18 directors and 450 teachers will benefit directly in-depth sessions on teaching methodologies and workshops on respect for children's rights and gender equality; -3500 Families, to which the students belong, will benefit from meetings and awareness days organized with the collaboration of schools, with the aim to make families more aware of their role in protecting children and respecting gender equality. Indirect beneficiaries: - The community of intervention districts will benefit indirectly from greater accountability to children and increased awareness of the importance of the role of the family and the school in society and in this specific context; - The school system in the province of Herat will benefit from the best services in rural areas.
