Description

The "multipurpose" Project aims to solve the problems of the of the water sector of the valley of Cochabamba and to create opportunities in the energetic sector. The initiative’s components are: -Construction of a dyke: drinking water provision for Cochabamba City, in line with OMS standards, through the supply of an additional flow rate (made drinkable) of 1600 l/s. This will increase daily average per capita water allocation from 70 to 150 l/s, incorporated to the water system large sectors of the population without access to water; - Construction of an abduction line: Irrigation of 1200 ha of land with high agricultural potential in the Cochabamba valley, through the supply of 450 l/s of water to Irrigation Associations (0,37 l/ha); - Construction of a plant to make water drinkable (1,0 m3/s). read more close
