Description

Khartoum is the destination for many internally displaced people, who flee their homeland seeking better life conditions. In Khartoum employment opportunities are concentrated in few sectors while skills of internally displaced people (IDPs) are often inadequate or insufficient to meet the job market offers. The programme aims to contribute to the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of IDPs coming from South Kordofan and living in Khartoum State, through the enhancement of their employability and entrepreneurial possibilities. The programme aims at strengthening results achieved during preceding phases of the programme by including new initiatives such as: creation of four employment agencies which will provide job placement and business initiative support, and activation of vocational trainings and employment assistance support for young IDPs. The initiative includes a rural development component based on training activities on planting and industrial processing of moringa. read more close
